Does this mean the replacement new parts will be shiny to match the rest of the model or matt and we have to lacquer them ourselves ? As a big Lewis/Mclaren fan I had to have this model but didn't anticipate these problems , first time for me on this scale (£) so £600 + is alot , I hope there's no more surprises.

Surely it would have to be the rear wing as well as both have the same finish , would you agree or is it just me ?

None of this is anything new, sadly. Partworks are sometimes notorious for blunders. Hachette (nothing to do with DeAg) did a huge partwork a few years ago to build an '0' Gauge Flying Scotsman. It was a joke and people gave up in droves - I was one of them. It was FULL of blunders, mistakes and errors - all Hachette ever did was offer 'bodge' DIY fixes. I sincerely hope DeAg aren't going to go down this road (or should I say Pit lane) with us. I love this kit so far but the colour issue is a genuine problem. I don't want bodge-fixes, or worse, have to re-paint all of the red parts. Roy.

As far as i know its just the front wing parts being replaced. But when i spoke to Deag call centre i told them the rear wing has the same problem, so fingers crossed will get the lot to try and laquer!

It would be a good idea to keep all posts which relate to this matter in the same place, that way nothing gets missed http://forum.model-space...ts&m=46690#post46690
