`Hi all, I don't know if this has been covered before but, are we going to get the fire buckets that hang down from the Poop deck. I would have thought they were there at the battle of Trafalgar. Or do we have to find somebody who can make them atthe right scale? Roger the Cabin Boy

They are not shown in any images of the model so one can only presume not.

I have a photo of the the current G&R on the black back ground. If you scale down and print that should do the job for the logo. there may be some after marcket buckets available? “Whenever you find yourself on the side of the majority, it is time to pause and reflect.” -Mark Twain

Hi Maldbuild, I like to have firebuckets too. I tried to make one from paper as follows: Roll a peace of paper as a bag with a sharp bottom. (Of cause with som glue). When dry, cut the bottom where it is 2 or 3 mm wide and a bit higher where it is 5 mm wide. Glue a bit of paper at the bottom (You don't want a hole in the bucket) and paint the whole black. With a peace of black thread you can create a handle. It takes only a few minutes for one. Hi All, I have had a go at making Fire Buckets. I used 5mm dowling, first drill a 4mm hole into the dowling only a couple of mm's, then a craft knife to shape and cut off 6-7 mm it only takes a few mins to do, then paint black.Add details i.e Crown, HMS Victory and date 1803 with a steady hand and magnifiing glass it can be done. Make a thick handle from rigging yarn and super glue inside the bucket and fill with sand, looks quite good. Roger the Cabin Boy

Hi Jase, Sorry mate i have not got a camera yet, Itried plugging my Box Brownie in but it won't work, for some unknown reason it will not upload the pictures. If you just drill into a piece of dowling you should see what i mean the bucket is half made then shape with a knife the cut off. If you know any one who will make the buckets for us like the wheel etc i would be interested. Roger the Cabin Boy

I used the dowell method to make the fire buckets for my son's pirate ship, it was quite effective, and only took about 20 mins a bucket. Fortunately I only needed to make 7 for that model, so didn't take too long. Part time modeller, full time biker
Built: Pinta Belle Poule (plastic) Endeavour Scratch build of Pirate ship "Neptune" (Based on cutter "HMS Aldebaran" Current builds: Victory
