Following on from various suggestions/comments and having got Richard's agreement, I am going to provide pdf versions for his posts which are going to provide us all with a rich source of information.
I know that I for one will have to start thinking more carefully about painting techniques, instead of just slapping it on!
These posts will be in addition to the regular posts in Capt Stedder's current Hint and Tips topic.
I would ask forum members to use the main topic for comments and keep this topic as a reference collection of pdf files.
Enjoy!
Mike T

Hi Mike, absolute great work keep them coming . And a big thankyou to Capt Steaders for all his fantastic information.Oh what a joy to be on a great forum .This is my first wooden model ship and I am looking forward to the months ahead.I am going to keep mine fairly simple , as a first timer I think this is the best route. Also the time factor. I have gone for the painted version, as this will cover up any bad planking errors which I hope I will not have. From the multitude of information on this forum I don`t think this is going to be a problem.I was going to post some pics of what I have already done. But I think there is enough of these already. The only thing I have done different is the white ties on the puddening on the anchor ring, which I painted. This only takes a few minutes and looks just as good.On such a large scale model you would not Know if it was twine or painted anyway.Hence keep it simple paint can help out a lot. My issues 3 and 4 are on there way , so hopefully I will be starting these the weekend. With the information already posted for these issues on the forum . It makes life so much easier for us new modelers. Thankyou again for all who have contributed to the wealth of information on this forum. John!

Hi Mike great idea these pdf's. I have been putting them together as well but I use Adobe 8 Pro, but works the same way, just one tip though, loose the space inbetween Part & the Number, as you know when you save it to disc the space becomes a %2 ie: Part01.pdf instead of part%201.pdf Ta Russ Happy Building, Russ On the workbench: My Victory Build Diary - Victory Cross Section Build Diary - Black Pearl Build DiaryUnder the Bench: Millenium Falcon, Black Pearl x 2, Coral Victory Cross Section, De Lorean

Not in my operating system - no problem with saving for me, is it Adobe that slips that in?
