The details for adding the futtock stave deals only with the foremast. What is the length for the main mast? (40mm appears way too short) also the length of the wire provided in issue 90 is insufficient to complete the job. Were further lengths supplied in another issue ?

Hi Spigs! You have a shortage of brass wire, I found the same mate! the wire supplied for the futtock staves isn't enough for the job. I had to get some 1mm brass rod from the model shop and used this instead of the brass wire from the magazine, I found it was stronger and didn't bend easily and I made the staves 50mm long for the main mast, this helped when tying the brass to the shrouds as the knots didn't keep slipping off the ends of the brass rod. Take a look in your leftover supplies, you might be lucky and find some brass wire that you can use, short leftover lengths over 25mm can be used on the mizzen. This would leave the longer length for the foremast and the main mast. I hope this helps. Darron
