Ben I got following e-mail yesterday. Hope it helps and applies to you too.

Update on Issue 5 - Build the HMS Victory

Unfortunately due to recent disruptions to flights, issue 5 has been delayed as we were unable to bring in the ship components for the magazine. This issue will now be published one week later on 5 May 2010.

As a subscriber, we plan to allocate issues to you on the 4 May for despatch a few days later. We plan to send out up to (and including) issue 6. Some customers will get three issues in their parcel (4, 5 and 6), customer that have already received 3 and 4 will just get two issues (5 and 6).

We've adjusted the timing (and quantity for some) of your delivery but we have done this to ensure you get your copies more promptly and also so that you can benefit from the build discussions on our Victory forum which a number have already posted about.

From next month we plan to send you 4 issues a month and aim to do this around 27 May (issues 7, 8, 9, 10) for despatch a few days later. Issue 8 will be on sale in the shops at this time.

Thanks for your support, we welcome any comments about this from you on our forum here.

Kind regards

BenE

im currently on 1 + 2, with no news on 3-4 or so on.

Admin info helps cover people who got 3 or 4 issues but what about owners of just issue 1+2 do we get 3-4-5-6 in one lump (highly doubt it) ? would like admin to give a bit of info.

I have yet to receive issues 1+2. 3+4 came yesterday.

I phoned a couple of weeks ago and was told 1,2+3 would be sent out together, this is obviously not the case, I shall try my local sorting office in the morning, if I have no luck there I shall be back on the ol' dog and bone PDQ and find out what's happened to 1+2

I am up to issue 3, received e-mail (as most others have) that 4,5,6 will be despatched on the 4th, then issues 7,8,9 and 10 will be sent out at about the 27th/28th. Admin are trying their damnest to get everyone up to speed. Patience is called for, it will sort itself out in the end I'm sure.

I got 1 & 2 on 25 March, 3 & 4 on 23 April. All communications have been answered promptly. As with others I have received the email updates.

As with Tis I agree that a bit of patience goes a long way. From what I gather this has been one of the most successful publication launches to date with thousands of people world-wide subscribing.

As with any business, from time to time things go wrong. At least DeAgostini have the common courtesy to keep all registered users informed.

Well said guys. I've only got issues 1+2, although expecting 3+4 tomorrow. But for you new guys you need to be a bit patient, as said before Admin will answer your queries as soon as they can, bear in mind that this their job and they probably have the weekend off and they are trying to get us all on the same issue number so I would say it is mighty hectic in their warfehouse at the moment.

I've every confidence they'll be able to put your mind at rest within the next few days.

Hi BenE

Let me catch up on these posts and then I'll update BigGrin

What issues have you got so far, and when did you receive them?

BenE - I've spoken with Customer Services and see you had 1 and 2 sent out around 13 April. You should be included in the next allocation that we've been talking about, but you will be sent 3, 4, 5, and 6 in that parcel. And then you'll move onto 7, 8, 9, and 10 with everyone else around 29 May.

Benny - I understand you have cancelled after we had allocated 1 and 2 to you on 25 March. Let me know if that is not the case and we can reactive your subscription.

Regards

Dear All,

The publication of Issue 5 has been delayed by international transportation disruptions as a result of the well-publicised volcanic activity in Iceland.

This issue will now be on sale on 5 May 2010 rather than 28 April as previously advised.

Have checked my account, a payment was taken on the 4th May but no further issues were allocated as expected from above.

The problem appears to be that we keep getting information that raises the expectation level and then we are frustrated when targets are not being achieved.

I am quite happy to accept that with the air transportation problems and possibily the amount of demand there may be difficulties. However, if a clearly stated target is not going to be achieved, a message on this forum clarifying the situation would be most useful.

Please respond Admin

It would appear that there is a night shift(!), several posts are now saying that the next issues have been allocated. Checked my account this morning and they have forward dated a new entry to tomorrow quoting parts 4,5,6 and magnifier as expected from the e-mail we received. Last delivery took about a week from the transaction date, so I'm hoping to put a shot across the postman's bows sometime next week!!
