Stage #26 - Contains a fuel tank half, oil tank, flap bulkhead, aileron bulkhead and length of 1.2mm rod.

Remove ribs Nos 3 to 11 from the port (left) wing assembly.

Test-fit the flap bulkhead at the rear of the wing assembly, resting its slots on the wing frame.

Hold the flip bulkhead and re-fit rib #5 to secure the bulkhead, then followed by ribs 6-11, then re-fit rib #4 & #3.

Remove ribs 13,19 and 28 from the wingframe then fit the aileron bulkhead at the rear of the wing, aligning its slots with the position of ribs 13, 19 and 25, then refit the ribs.

Cut two lengths from the rod, one 57.5m long and the other 67mm long.

Take the fuel tank halves. I chose to glue in place a couple of plastic alignment tabs (cut from scrap plasticard), which were glued to the inside of the tank ends. This ensure's easy and perfect alignment of the tank halves and also provides a larger surface for bonding. The tank halves are then glued together as per the steps.

At this point you can opt to finish the rods and tank aotake blue or leave unpainted, though you might want to hold off on painting the tank until you have to hand the tank support frames (in stage 27) which are glued to the tank and are also painted aotake blue.

Fit the rods into the cockpit fuselage section as shown, fitting the shorter length at the top and longer at the bottom. If you find that either rod is slightly too long, carefully reduce the length accordingly.

Remove the burrs from the oil tank casting as indicated in the step image, then glue it into the fuselage as shown in the step image. (The position shown in my photo is slightly lower than where it should be, which is the next stringer up, and has been corrected in next stage images).

That's it for this stage, carefully store the fuel tank remaining rod.

Stage 27 - Contains the forward/aft section of rib #8, rib #9 & #10, fuel tank frames & fasteners, and oxygen cylinder and box panel castings.

Prepare and label ribs 8, 9 & 10 as before, then temporarily place them into the wingframe.

Remove the indicated burrs from the oxygen tank halves then glue them together, fill the joint line and then smooth.

Cut both circular fasteners from the fuel tank bracket sprue and smooth any nib.

Cut a 60mm length of 1.2mm rod (supplied previously), then glue both fasteners together onto one end of the rod, 10mm in from the end.

Remove the burrs from the box panel then drill a hole at the marked indent with a 1mm bit.

If you are painting your model, prime and paint black the oxygen tanks, rod with fastener, and also the box area of the box panel (the surrounding area can be painted aotake blue to match the airframe).

Glue the box panel into the fuselage as shown, then glue the oxygen tank into place at the indicated points of the fuselage former.

Now glue the rod/fastener assembly into place, which is located into the hole of the box panel and into the oil tank fitting at the opposite side of the fuselage, with the rod discs at the oil tank end.

Take careful note of the placement of the fuel tank frames upon the tank and that you correctly orient the tank for marking two of the frames.
You can choose to spray the tank frames aotake blue prior being glued to a painted tank, or spray the tank and frames as one once the frames have been glued into place, or leave them bare metal.

Remove the fuel tank frames from the sprue, and smooth off any rough or uneven areas on them with wet and dry paper. Make a note of which frame is which.

Position the fuel tank as shown in the step photo and place wing rib #4 onto it, into the notch located at the forward and aft edge of the tank, between the points marked ‘A’ in the photo.
Now turn the fuel tank and rib upside down and place a rule up against rib #4 and lightly score along the line.

Then place rib # 5 in the second pair of notches between the points marked ‘B’ in the photo, then as before turn it upside and score lightly along the line.

Use the red dotted lines in the photo to carefully identify the positions for the frames, ( which sit both sides of the red dotted lines).
Test-fit and glue frames 1, 2 and 5 into place, using the photo and inset photos as reference for placement. Then test-fit and glue frames 3 and 4 in place along the score line you made earlier.

That's it for this stage, carefully store the assembled items.

Stage 28 - Contains the upper & lower instrument panel castings, lens set, instrument decal sheet and a battery box.

Carefully remove the burrs from the points shown on the instrument panel castings.

You can leave the panel in their natural finish or paint both as per the instructions, then glue the smaller panel to the upper panel.

The decal sheet contains self-adhesive dials, with adhesive on the front and back of each decal.

Carefully remove the clear protective film from the decals sheet and from the front of each dial BEFORE placing the dials into position, (each lense will in turn stick to the front of each dial face).

Place the decals as shown in the instructions, followed by the lenses, ensure that you have each lens correctly oriented and the right way up, there is no requirement to glue any of the lenses as the decal adhesive wil secure each lens in place.

That's it for this stage, carefully store the remaining decals, lenses and batter box

Stage 29 - Contains ribs 11,13,14, rocker boxes, and LED cables A-D.

Prepare and label ribs 11,13 & 14 as before, then temporarily locate them into position on the right (starboard) wing.

Prepare and paint the rocker boxes as before and cut two 20mm lengths of rod, then assemble these onto the engine as shown.

Remove all of the ribs and the aileron and flap bulkhead plates from the left wing, then remove the labels from the ribs, and placing each rib in turn onto the rib ID rib plan.

Cut 3mm and 4mm sections from the wing frame as shown in step 8.

At this point you can choose to paint the ribs and wing frame aotake blue or leave as natural metal.

Fit three AAA batteries into the battery box and test all four LED lamps.

Fit LED 'A' to the back of the instrument panel, secure the wires with glue and then paint the visible parts of the lamp, black.

Tale LED 'D' and bend its legs to 90 degrees 16mm from its rear face. Ensure that the flat face of the LED is as shown in steps 15/16.

Paint the LED black, leaving only the flat end face unpainted. Then paint LED's 'B' and 'C' the same way but this time leave the flat side surface unpainted and paint the end face as shown in step 16.

Identify the three cable routing points on the folding wing tip, then fit LED 'D' as shown so that its face is but up to the rib, and that the wire routing is as shown.

Position the wing tip, with rib #25 in position, then feed the wire along the spar, fitting ribs 24 & 23 in place.

Place LED 'C' in the slot next to rib 23 on the rear spar, keeping the unpainted part of the LED facing upwards, and bend the wire around and through the slot in the front of rib #22.

Continue to refit the ribs up to #11, keeping the wires neatly in position. Then place LED 'B' in the gap on the rear spar between ribs 11 and 10. fit rib 10 in place and pass the wire from LED 'B' through the U channel in the rib.

Continue fitting the ribs up to #7 and ensure the stack the wires neatly above each other as shown in step 24.

Position the fuel tank and fit ribs 6 to 1.

Re-fit the trailing edge aileron and flap bulkhead plates.

Rib #26 and the front half of rib #7 will be fitted at a later point and should be carefully stored.

Finally, re-test the LED's

That's it for this stage, carefuly store the assembly's.

Stage 30 - Contains a pair of wheel castings, undercarriage strut & mixture castings, trusses, 0.9mm drill bit, fittings and a mainwheel tyre.

Check the wheel castings, mixture lever and landing strut for burrs.

Then paint the strut and mixture lever as directed or leave as bare metal.

Fit a wheel half into one side of the tyre, then turn the tyre unit around and place the second wheel casting so that the spokes align.

Slide wheel casting 'C' onto the strut, noting its oval centre hole the position of the small hole in the casting, then fit the tyre unit onto the axle up against casting 'C' so that the axle is flush with the inner recess of the wheel.
Fit wheel casting 'D' onto the axle and align the centre hole, then place a screw through casting 'D' into the hole of the axle and tighten.
Test-fit the wheel plug in the hole near the end of the strut, then glue it in place at a right angle to the strut.

Fit the instrument panel into the cockpit through the bottom of the fuselage at a slight angle, and fit it onto the rods fitted earlier in the build. Before gluing it in place, make sure the panel is centred, then carefully apply glue at the contact points upon the two rod lengths.

Test-fit fit the mixture lever casting on the inside of the cockpit as shown in the step, you may need to file the rear of the casting to get a good fit.

As with the previous trusses, cut and shape a total of nine lengths, one each of 10mm, 14mm and 15mm, and two each of 12mm, 16mm and 17mm.

Remove ribs 12, 13 & 14 from the right-hand (starboard) wing.

Fit the 12mm, 15mm and 17mm trusses to rib #12 .

Fit three lengths of truss (12mm, 16mm, 17mm) to rib #13.

Fit three lengths of truss (10mm, 14mm, 16mm) to rib #14.

Then temporarily re-fit ribs 12, 13 & 14 on the wing.

That's it for this stage, carefully store the drill bit.

31 - Contains an undercarriage upper strut casting, ribs 15 & 16, pitch control casting, fittings and a length of tube.

32 - Contains the landing gearbox & control lever castings and fittings.

33 - Contains the flap rear spar, flap parts, truss and tube.
