just an idea for people, but i am copying comments, hints and photos of items such as the cannon and anchor, and pasteing them into a word document, that way as i am makeing them i have a quick reference rather than trying to search through the whole forum for bits and bobs, i have found it quite handy so thought others might like to try it steve

If you want to save Capt Stedders hints and tips have a look at: Capt Stedders Hints and Tips in PDFIf you have Microsoft Office 2007 you can save your Word files directly to PDF for a more convenient format when storing information from the forum. Cheers Mike T

Great idea Help I copy and paste onto word but no pics even after saving to PDF where m I going wrong

Release the left button and then move cursor over highlighted text, not picture, and right click. Select the option copy. Then open a blank word document, on the blank page right click again and select paste. This should then transfer all the highlighted text and piccies to your word document.......hopefully anyway

Have you tried saving to word first??

Most weird  maybe some settings somewhere on your computer are set to annoy you where ever possible

Try copying all text and pics, open Word and select `Paste Special`

still no joy  buy I can copy and paste text and pics off internet with no problems and save to file just does not seem to work off this site

Steve ...right click on the picture and choose save as ...and save it in my pictures. that works for ....I'm using xp...and have no probs....hope this helps.... John....
