Since we're so near to the end and we've had chance to look at the instructions for the Japanese top coating their model, is anyone going to apply a top coat?
I was thinking of doing it and was looking at getting some of the Mr Hobby top coat the japanese used.
Whats everyone else going to use? Or more to the point, is there anything better than the Mr Hobby?

Yeah il be clear coating. Il prob use tamiya TS13 But I couldnt say if it's better or worse than others mate CURRENT BUILDS

Ian The Mr Hobby B501 gloss aerosol is an aqueous product and won't damage paintwork hence why it is suggested. Some have used the Tamiya TS-13 aerosol with great success but it needs light coats carefully applied as its not an aqueous product. The difference between the two is that if the Tamiya version could damage the paintwork if not carefully applied. Tamiya X22 in pot format is an aqueous product, and can be airbrushed or brushed.

Being a novice i think i'll give the Mr Hobby a try. Best get some on order with a 45 day delivery period! LOL

Could somebody tell me if Tamiya X22 is any good?
The reason I am asking is I would rather paint the clear coat on than spray it as I don't have an area where it would be OK to spray it.
Also with that product, which parts of the F1 need clear coating?
