Cheers timebob, the reason why I ask is I'm gonna change the rope that was sent in with the anchor to the very one you've used but I wondered if 2.5mm would either be big enough or to big and to be honest after seeing yours I'm still not sure Confused Blink

after pudding the anchor ring you got a job getting rope through. it will only go through the
ring once.

Actually Huh I've just had a look at an anchor which is on the victory now. Now, I know it is a replica anchor but the dimensions should be roughly the same, yes?, and assuming they are it looks like the ring is to small and not the rope being to big!! Glare Blink

Great job with the anchor.
What kind of rope is it and where can I get it from?

Thanks

I think the rope thickness is pretty good, but the ring as you say is a little too small, Ive just compared your anchor and rope to longridges (picture taken a few years back), maybe you could fashion some thin'ish wire to make the ring bigger?

AFter puddening the original ring I also discovered the ring was too small. I used McKays Anatomy of Victory to compare the ring size and made a new larger ring out of copper wire. I will post pics in my build thread.
