Changing the Anchor Ring !!

I decided to go for a large Anchor ring , After opening up the Anchor kit i to thought the ring looked a little small , I made a new ring so the old one fitted inside , that give me the perfect Dia . While i was busy I made up all Four rings together .

All the photos and reference points have been a great help , I now check as many photos of Victory as i can , and will continue to do so before i assembly any of my Model of HMS Victory . Thanks to everyone on the forum for your amazing tips and reference points .

i remade the anchor ring this afternoon,to make it a bit bigger. i used the core of co-ax cable. which i stripped out and then bent into a circle around my knife handle. i will be doing the rest this weekend. probably putting the puddening on with fishing line and the seasing on with white thread.

I used copper earth wire from lighting cable. I took a long strip and wrapped it around a circular object which was the correct diameter (approx 12mm internally) then cut it at the cross over point.

14mm external sounds about right for the 1:84 scale as Mckays book for 1/96 bower anchor is 12mm.

What a brillant idea, copper wire, I'm impressed and will follow suit if you don't mind a little plagerism.

Hi there
I've just received 2mm rope from cornwall model boats. It is really nice but how to make it white?
