Hi guys - I am adding the supports for the upper deck and I have noticed that the deck is not flat. It rises at the captains quaters and slightly rises at the bow.

Is this normal or should I be filling and removing wood from the frame supports?

Thanks

You do not need a parachute to skydive. You only need a parachute to skydive twice.

Hi there Riff, I reckon that it is the norm. Try looking at the other builds and gauge for yourself how much of a rise to do . Take into account the gunports on that deck also. If the deck rises too much the cannon wont fit under the ballustrade across the port.A good gauge I reckon is the plank width on the deck or the inner walls, 5 or6 mm.Good luck.
ps It is easier to buy some sheet ply and do the whole deck like that rather than how the plans show.BigGrin

I am with Harty on that one, the deck does rise at the bow and stern, I have bought a sheet of ply and am fitted it to the the deck, But I have not yet glued or nailed it,( You will se it onw my build page ) I will still probabally be fitting the supports, but this will lift the deck by 2mm, dont know if that matters, I will do some research before fitting for good.
