Hi Team, Well here we go again, I am really looking forward to building the X - section the opportunity to add accurate detail to and in this 1/72 scale Hull of Englands finest ship could not pass me by I am very excited at the prospect. I hope to have the opportunity to add some enhancements, when we see what is being included in the build. I will certainly add a full mast with standard rigging, as I see from graphic that Admin posted, that a stubb mast is planned for the build. I shall be off to the newsagent this week to see if ISSUE 1 is out. WATCH THIS SPACE! Kind Regards Mike MWG BUILD DIARIES: HMS VICTORY, SOVEREIGN OF THE SEAS, SAN FRANCISCO II, HMS HOOD, HMS ENDEAVOUR LONGBOAT, HMS VICTORY X-SECTION, 007 DB5, NISSAN GTR, CUTTY SARK, RB7, AKAGI, BARK HMS ENDEAVOUR, HUMMER H1, MITSUBISHI ZERO.

Hi Team well so far I have received issues 124 and 125 MWG attached the following image(s): MWG BUILD DIARIES: HMS VICTORY, SOVEREIGN OF THE SEAS, SAN FRANCISCO II, HMS HOOD, HMS ENDEAVOUR LONGBOAT, HMS VICTORY X-SECTION, 007 DB5, NISSAN GTR, CUTTY SARK, RB7, AKAGI, BARK HMS ENDEAVOUR, HUMMER H1, MITSUBISHI ZERO.

ISSUES 124 - 125 The wood we have received for planking outside and inside the hull is Lime wood, a good quality wood spoiled by the way it has been cut with a guillotine and really should have been sawn. The planks I have received in both issues have round edges on them where the pressure of the guillotine has caused this. please have a look:- MWG attached the following image(s): MWG BUILD DIARIES: HMS VICTORY, SOVEREIGN OF THE SEAS, SAN FRANCISCO II, HMS HOOD, HMS ENDEAVOUR LONGBOAT, HMS VICTORY X-SECTION, 007 DB5, NISSAN GTR, CUTTY SARK, RB7, AKAGI, BARK HMS ENDEAVOUR, HUMMER H1, MITSUBISHI ZERO.

ISSUES 124 - 125 I am not asking for a replacement as it will take to long to replace, fortunately I have a stock of Lime wood 5x2mm and 5x1.5mm MWG attached the following image(s): MWG BUILD DIARIES: HMS VICTORY, SOVEREIGN OF THE SEAS, SAN FRANCISCO II, HMS HOOD, HMS ENDEAVOUR LONGBOAT, HMS VICTORY X-SECTION, 007 DB5, NISSAN GTR, CUTTY SARK, RB7, AKAGI, BARK HMS ENDEAVOUR, HUMMER H1, MITSUBISHI ZERO.

ISSUES 124 - 125 I still believe this will be a great partwork and I will be adding 1/72 scale copper tiles which I have sourced, and butted up to the tiles I will be double planking with 5x1mm walnut planking above the water line;- MWG attached the following image(s): MWG BUILD DIARIES: HMS VICTORY, SOVEREIGN OF THE SEAS, SAN FRANCISCO II, HMS HOOD, HMS ENDEAVOUR LONGBOAT, HMS VICTORY X-SECTION, 007 DB5, NISSAN GTR, CUTTY SARK, RB7, AKAGI, BARK HMS ENDEAVOUR, HUMMER H1, MITSUBISHI ZERO.

ISSUES 124 - 125 I will be adding a full size mast with standard rigging, and depending on what we receive other enhancements such as Boarding Pike (1/72 scale) and a mast head lamp which I have sourced, see photo. as usual it will depend on other members wanting these enhancements, to get them at the right price -- hence my definition of TEAM--- Together Everyone Achieves More Regards Mike MWG attached the following image(s): MWG BUILD DIARIES: HMS VICTORY, SOVEREIGN OF THE SEAS, SAN FRANCISCO II, HMS HOOD, HMS ENDEAVOUR LONGBOAT, HMS VICTORY X-SECTION, 007 DB5, NISSAN GTR, CUTTY SARK, RB7, AKAGI, BARK HMS ENDEAVOUR, HUMMER H1, MITSUBISHI ZERO.

Hi Mike Although I've only just received issues 110 - 114 of the main build, I have already decided that I'll be going on to the cross-section build. I'd just like to show my interest in any enhancements you will be looking at for this build - I'd be interested in the full mast and the copper tiles just for starters. P.S Haven't started on the gallery enhancement as yet because I'm waiting to see how others have coped with completely removing the old back board and side panels first. The two that I have looked have both added their enhancement kit over the back panel and although this looks amazing, I'd just like to see how a complete removal goes first. Happy building David

ISSUE 121 I took the fret of parts and cut them all out and sanded and prepared them for putting them together:- MWG attached the following image(s): MWG BUILD DIARIES: HMS VICTORY, SOVEREIGN OF THE SEAS, SAN FRANCISCO II, HMS HOOD, HMS ENDEAVOUR LONGBOAT, HMS VICTORY X-SECTION, 007 DB5, NISSAN GTR, CUTTY SARK, RB7, AKAGI, BARK HMS ENDEAVOUR, HUMMER H1, MITSUBISHI ZERO.

ISSUE 121 The next job is to cover the Rib Plan with cling film, I did not like this idea so I used the plastic that the fret and parts came in:- MWG attached the following image(s): MWG BUILD DIARIES: HMS VICTORY, SOVEREIGN OF THE SEAS, SAN FRANCISCO II, HMS HOOD, HMS ENDEAVOUR LONGBOAT, HMS VICTORY X-SECTION, 007 DB5, NISSAN GTR, CUTTY SARK, RB7, AKAGI, BARK HMS ENDEAVOUR, HUMMER H1, MITSUBISHI ZERO.
