Hi All,
I am back with a few more pictures, first I found cutting out the parts from the fret was easy, just a light sand around the frame done, assembling the keel and keelson it is important that the two parts are perfectly aligned then on to the first and second rib at this stage I found the spacers suppiled a must to stop twisting, again very important to let it all dry.I found that by feeding the dowel through the lowest holes and adding more spacers keep it all straight.
One to watch is fitting 3e 4c you can fit them the wrong way round,as you will see in my post picture,I must say that at this stage I found it a bit awkward to do you need three hands. The last part was to add the discarded part of fret and use as a brace to keep it all straight.

This small part you need to get the correct way round.

Old piece of fret to brace.

Thanks for your time
Regards Trev.

all looking good trev.ThumpUp

i had no plans to subscribe to this until i saw some better pictures, as the ones on the flyer really made it look quite cheap. however i went into my newsagents the other day and lo and behold they had 4 issues of the series put away under my name. i did not ask for them to carry on after issue 120, but when i saw these 4 poor lonely magazines i just had to give them a new home.

looking at yours and tomicks diary the early basic structure looks rather fragile, so i think i'll wait a while before starting so i can get something good and solid built in a short time, as dogs and kids did not work well in the early days of my victory build.
Come on you Jimmies

Yes fragile until the outer/inner hull planking is added, and then the framework firms up rather well.

Its certainly an interesting and intriguing build

Top notch looks very good. Just a shame the SOTS is out at the moment as after seeing this build I would have been very tempted to have a go at it. But I just dont have the funds to stretch to both of them.
Very nicely presented build diary as wellBigGrin

Hello Shipmates,
I have found time this week to cover the Pump Well with the Oak supplied, due to the thin Oak I found it a bit tricky but I am pleased with the finish, press on with the lids.

Regards Trev.
