@George1 - Hi George

If you are concerned about turning over the hull for painting after adding many of the deck fittings etc you can make yourself a reverse build stand.

This is simply a block of wood with 2 or 3 dowels fitted into drilled holes at the exact place of the masts, the hull is then placed upside down onto these dowels using the mast holes on deck, this way no fittings are damaged and you have a sturdy base to work from.

thank you all for your comments, and george, when you are at the stage of needing to turn it over, simple foam sheet or scrap bits can be made up to protect the ship. so don't panic m8.

just in case some of you are wondering 'bout pic format, I use the I-pad for pics and several apps which are free,also If I need sharper images I use the sony 110 camera on the I-pad and then do the downloading on the I-mac computer, which I then use photobag to re-size for the forum,If anymore info required just ask,no trouble, like to here from you.
