Hi everyone,I am posting this on behalf of a friend who scratch builds ships,to date he has a fleet including tug boat, trawler,SS Great Eastern,HMS Bonington to name a few....all are large scale...the great eastern runs in at 14 feet (sorry no pics,he is a bit shall we say "precious" about who sees his models,i've known him 6 years & saw them for the first time last year!) Anyway...he has decided he would like to add the Yamato & Titanic to his fleet but is having trouble tracking down plans.Does anyone know where some can be obtained, doesn't matter what scale as he rescales them to the size he wants. Many thanks to anyone who can assist in this. Rob Rob Nolli Illigitimi Carborundum!!!Current Builds: HMS Victory, SV Thermopylae

Re the Titanic, he'll find this site very useful http://www.rivet-counter.com/
Also, Haynes do a Titanic manual which is crammed with drawings, also the "Build your own Titanic" book is very useful Re Yamato, the Anatomy of the ship book - "The battleship Yamato" has a 1/600 fold out plan and is crammed with over 600 scale line drawings of just about every feature he could want.

Hi Rob, Re: Titanic I think your friend might gain plenty of information at the official Titanic museum Belfast website. This is the link for the site http://www.titanicbelfast.com/Home.aspxI'm reliably informed that the research team for the recent television series about titanic got access to an original set of plans for the series which reside there. It might be possible to get a facsimile copy from there, for a price of course. Regards
