Hi all,

I now have my model as a rolling chassis, but have 2 issues:

firstly, the steering doesnt work from the steering wheel, it feels as though the steering shaft is twisting but the wheels don't turn. Not a major issue as its a static model, but would be nice if the steering worked from the cockpit.

Second, the leading edge of the car floor is touching the ground. I know the cars ride low, but this is too low BigGrin

I'm concerned that I will get further problems with the other pieces of ducting etc and particularly the plank in the last issue.

anyone else seen this or ideas where the issue may lie?

Thanks
J

Can you put up some images showing how your assembly looks, as that is likely where the problems lie.
Have you checked that the steering rod crank is actually engaged at the opposite end?

Thanks Mr T, I'll post some pics later.

With the steering, I'm sure all is engaged properly as the steering wheel turns correctly when the front wheels are turned, but not vice versa

Its not fitted until 85, but the step for fitting it says this.......

"Fit the steering wheel into the cockpit, ensuring that it is the right way up. If you angle the front wheels from side to side, the steering wheel should follow, but do not attempt to turn the steering wheel to angle the front wheels."
