Had kit week or so and have been slowly getting on between shifts.
Built up main frame of boat, truly impressed with the materials, and the ease of parts fitting together.[][/img]
Been worried about the planking stage of the build, so whilst looking at other builds of the Longboat for tips, decided to build oars and booms.
Started the planking with the method of soaking in hot water. Very time consuming, but better safe than sorry.]

Here is the build as she looks at present. Not at all happy with how the forming has come along at the bow, and wish I had followed MWG's method with the balsa infills, but isn't hindsight great. Hoping 2nd planking will look alot better. Please feel free to add any comments or tips.[][/img][/img]/img]

Finished 1st planking. Needed a bit of filler at bow, and few small gaps where planks get smaller, but, as second layer to go on, quite pleased with how it's gone together.]/]]

Was a bit optimistic about getting the rigging completed this weekend, was more time consuming than I thought. Have been threading through as required, then glueing one end of thread to eyelet or bow pin rails as needed. Then waited for it to set enough to tension up and connect other end of thread. Have got the main rigging on the masts, the main staysail, and the headsail rib completed, and the headsail is all rigged up.
