Ok fellow builders.
I think that it would be good here to have a discussion on what aircraft we would like to see available in this 1/16 full frame format after the zero.
There are several I would love to build in this large scale with a full frame, detail and skin but I think that I would have to go for the:
ME 262.
WHat a lovely aircraft that would be to build up with the 2 jumo jet engines,full detailed cockpit and undercart along with the cannon, mounts, ammo boxes and supply feeds as well as that sleek, shark like frselage frame. WOW! What a build that would be!
Retractable undercart, led lighting,posable flaps and slats and maybe the possibility of a red led hidden in the engines to produce a kind of glow to simulate the engine working?
Come on Deag engineers and designers.... continue with the good work!

The Mosquito gets my vote, or an English Electric Lightning or Vulcan Bomber as a jet model.

Has to be the Mosquito as Tomick Say's, Vulcan would be too big to get all that detail and i'll have nowhere to put it!! Tornado... now we are talking

I would like to see the Spitfire,we nearly had it a few months ago,so it is there. Trev Work in progress: Tombstone (Scratch) - San Francisco 2. -The Mayflower ( scratch by plan).

Mosquito definatly or how about the Lockheed P38 Lightning  Current builds:-C57,Zero, Lamborghini Countach, Caldercraft HMS Agamemnon,Robi,R2-D2, MFH Cobra .

hate to say this but the mosi was all wood and canvas,thought we might get a lump of metal,possibly the f 16?or even a saab viglen.but my fav is the harrier with movable jets. Well how about something different, like an SE5a or the Red Baron's Fokker DR1(triplane), those planes would be great to build.

I like your choices Karl, especially the Harrier that would be awesome and probably well received around the world not just in the UK. I would prefer an F-18 SuperHornet to an F-16 though, just prefer the look of it!! Also agree with you about the Mossie, one of my top five favourites but a metal model would just be completely wrong, better to do that one in wood as per the original and keep the metal for the Merlins and undercarriage, etc.?
I like the P-38 Lightning idea as well but no-one has mentioned a p-51 Mustang yet or 'The Jug'? That great big P-47 Thunderbolt with its' beautiful radial engine up front, that gets my vote, though I would want the earlier 'Razorback' version as opposed to the 'Bubbletop'!!
I also agree with all of Tom's choices especially the awesome Lightning, now that would look good with a natural metal skin on it wouldn't it? Also like the Vulcan but could be a tad BIG and not much detail visible when it's completed maybe?
Or if we are not necessarily wanting guns and things how about a large scale DC-3 'Dakota' in D-Day markings or a large scale Supermarine S-6B 'Schneider Trophy' Trophy racer with lift off engine covers to see the engine ??
Could even have a model of a highly detailed 1:4 scale Merlin Engine on a stand or Frank Whittles' first jet engine with cutaway sections - that would be VERY cool if you ask me?

THe P-51 would be great in 1/16 metal, as would the P-47, but I would have to get the bubbletop version. Both these should come with options for rockets and bombs as they could carry both if needed!
As I said in my first post, the ME-262 with an extra engine for display outside the aircraft.
Frank whittle's engine would be a good one, but a Meteor to go along with it would be good too!
There are so many! Spitfire, Hurricane, ME 109. FW 190.....
A Hawker Typhoon 1b loaded for bear with rockets etc would be a good one with D-Day stripes... Imagine tackling the sabre engine - What a beast!
Mosquito - The wooden wonder with 2 merlins, cannon, bombs and MG's - This one would have to be a metal and wood mix and for me would have to be the MkVI FB with added rockets on the wings
So much here for Deag to look in to and so much for us to build!!

Bearing in mind that whatever the subbject, it needs to have mass market appeal of 1000's rather than hundreds..

it would have to be the f4 phantom for me. it was the first aircraft i worked on after my training. another choice would be the wright brothers wright flyer, you can't get much more historical than the first ever aircraft. Come on you Jimmies

as mentioned above, why not the spitfire as it was so close to hand along with its adversary the bf109 or even a heinkel 111 for a great static display of the battle of britain, or better still the stuka, any of theses iconic aircraft current builds
