Thx for all the warm welcomes :)
Douglas me mate, looks like only 2 of us here in Malaysia building this thing....
Hey guys, just want to ask, how different is this Victory model, from the one being sold by Artesania Latina? Are they *exactly* the same?
Thanks Alan

Dear fellows, I saw the HMS Victory in MPH located at City Square in JB last weekend. I was so surprise to see it and immediately I told myself I want it. I always want to get a model ship for my own, especially this kind of handmade wooden type. However I am quite indecisive if I should go ahead to start with it. It is because I am very new to this kind of wooden model, and I have no experience at all in building the wooden ship, moreover this is a highly complicated model (but I am pretty good in handiwork). Hence, I would like to listen to your advice if people like me could handle the complexity? Especially the cost is so expensive, and definitely i do not want to waste my money without achieving it....Looking forward to your sharing.

Hello & Welcome ykang.Whilst the Victory is indeed a complicated model to build there are plenty of first time builders on the various forums..especially the UK one who have built exceptional quality models.I don't know if your official builder is the same as ours but even if it isn't they will be someone who is experienced in building & will be able to guide you through.Make use of the UK forum & read peoples build diaries & above all else don't be afraid to ask, even if you think it's a stupid question someone will answer you, there are many builders of varying skill levels from novice to expert on here & all are willing to help. What a lot of people have done is to collect the parts for Victory & let them build up but do a cheaper model to start with so that they can learn the necessary skills.A popular one seems to have been the Endeavour longboat which is available in the DeAgostini shop. Whatever you decide to do I hope this post has helped to reassure you Selamat tinggal & nasib Good Rob Nolli Illigitimi Carborundum!!!Current Builds: HMS Victory, SV Thermopylae

Hi Rob. Thank you for your sharing. I will surely like to start with it.... Yes. I would like to start with a simple one, but too bad it is not yet available in Malaysia, and if I purchased it online from UK shop, it would cost me a lot in monthly delivery. Regards; Ykang

Your build looks fantastic and inspire me to further enhance the detailing of the ship. Just wonder whether the Gallery Enhancement still available. It would be great to have this enhancement for my Victory. Looking forward... Regards, Nicholas Current Builds
