Hi all

Do anyone have part 30 for the DB5 Austin Martin as my part has gone missing and I do not want to pay the stupid prices they are going for on Ebay. Have contacted the magazine but they have non in stock at the moment. I am building this car for my son who has learning difficulties and loves James Bond so if any one can help I would be very gratefully

Dave

There is one on eBay now for £20 inc p+p with just one bid and is the cheapest, but quite a few at over the £60 mark and with bids on them which suggests that Issue 30 is long since out of stock and now sought after.

I know £20 is over the odds but it might be worth a pop if your desperate to have this issue

Hi Dave,

If you go to this facebook page http://www.facebook.com/007DB5?ref=ts&fref=ts There is a guy called Chris Holland who is opperating a part swap scheme to assist builders like yourself. Just post a message on there and he'll more than likely get back to you. He doing it by asking other builder to donate their spare/broken parts to him so that he can help people finish their models. He doesn't charge for the parts.

Hope that helps

Dave

This only works if people are prepared donate and send foc, where in the main people tend to want a return for their investment, hence why the majority of mag's end up on eBay.

As in this instance, members are free to post up a request in this forum asking for spare issues/parts etc.

I think Chris is doing it to get back at the company for their poor customer service!

The issue with the DB5 is people claiming spares for broken/damaged parts and then putting them on Ebay to make a profit. As the company are not requiring proof than parts have been damaged. That seem to be the general opinion of what is happening on the Facebook page.
