neon wrote:Hi lads, I have posted a picture of my jig , any advise here would be appreciated .i have glued nothing yet. Hi I have used the same format and it has worked very well. Might suggest some heavier duty clamps to make sure when you do glue you get better pressure spread on the reinforcing plates. Have a look at Mikes (MWG) build log it`s magic with heaps of very helpful info and things to be careful of during your build. Good luck Regards Delboy271155 (DEREK) COME BACK GUY FAWKES "YOUR COUNTRY NEEDS YOU"

The joints between keel sections have reinfocing pieces glued either side, to the full depth of the keel and full width between the rib slots. So, a bracket such as forward one in the photo here would need to be 4mm further out than the others. Better to put the bracket elsewhere?

A very neat assembly jig and a lot more professional than mine. But ‘Captain David’ was right to mention the bracing pieces. May I make another point? Your stern post former comes up to the top of part 23, which is what it shows in issue 3, p9. But when you come to fit the last frame of all (nr 27) you will find that the counter timbers or transom supports (parts 28, 29,30) foul the top of the former. I had to take a cm off the top. CEC
