The original Batmobile from the 1960s TV series will be auctioned in January, with an estimated price tag of around $2 million.
The 1955 Lincoln Futura, of which only one was made, was a hand-built concept car developed by the Ford Motor Co. featuring a bubble top. It was bought in 1965 for $1 by owner George Barris, who customized the 19ft car for the TV series. http://www.dailymail.co....n.html?ito=feeds-newsxml

Now that would make a good partwork maybe?
1:8 scale with working rocket launchers, led lights in the flame out the back and a sound module with Batman and Robin saying things like KERRRPPOOOOWW and ZAAAPPPPP!! A nice looking car as well!!
Not a bad investment for the guy who bought the original either - a dollar down and now worth two million!!
