Gentlemen
You're all too kind. At least I am reasonably pleased at how this has turned out. Most of all I managed to stay focussed through to the end. I don't know how some of you guys can spend a year or more working on one of the partwork ships. John

Very nice indeed John and a superb diorama - love it!! Well executed and the figures are beautifully painted.
I know what you mean about the eyes in 1:35 scale and my own opinion is that it is better to just do them as a dark 'suggested' eye with an occasional very tiny pinpoint of light rather than to attempt a portrayal of the actual whites of the eye?? Almost always when people try to paint the whites in such small scales, it ends up looking like the eyes have a mad stare to them, which is great if you are trying to portray a soldier who is suffering from shellshock or gone stir crazy, but otherwise it just looks wrong!!
Good stuff John and thanks for sharing your work, very much appreciated.

Gentlemen You're very kind. I'm toying with a US scene next. At least I have accumulated a Willy's jeep with some extra PE, an M4A3E2, and something from Alpine figures. When I get started I'll certainly blog some progress. John
