Ah well! Just goes to prove there are the same kind of idiots on both sides of the world! We sell off perfectly good sea harriers and bulldoze brand new Nimrod AEW's and in a few years those trying to keep the last remaining flying display F111's will be digging up landfills in Oz looking for spare parts!!Blink

Hmmm...i seem to recall the government at the time and these F-111's which were supposed/promised to come in at such and such a price just about wiped out the British Aircraft industry and the great TSR2 many years ago. Funnily enough, the F-111's price spiralled onwards and upwards, and we ended up with...re-engined phantoms.
