Hi Victory builders,
For them who wants to place a lot of figures on their model.
Some time I am looking for figures to be placed on my Victory. The figures by Hannants (HAT8098 British Sailors and Marines x 80 figures and 8 naval cannons) were a long time out of stock. But now they are available again.
So you can order them at: http://www.hannants.co.uk/product/HAT8098.

Hi Jan,
I have looked for these very recently and they still seem to be out of stock everywhere. Also your link says they are not available.

Just looked at the site and they are in stock , but only one left.
They are in 1:72 scale would that size look out of place on the Victory?

Hi Press Gang. Just did a search with the product number in the quick search box and came up with 9 in stock - http://www.hannants.co.uk/product/HAT8098

As for size, well personally I dont think there will be a lot of difference with the figurs supplied, but it YOUR choice, dont blame me if you spend £8.70+ and they are to big.
Happy Building, Russ

Ordered on Thursday arrived today and they are the same size as the ones supplied. Not sure if I'll use them all but it does give me plenty of scope for practice painting BigGrin

@bugsec - are you sure these 1/72 figures are the same size as the ones de-ag supply? Ive not seen the de-ag ones yet as im only on issue 52 but i tried other 1/72 soldiers onboard and they seem slightly too big.
Any chance of a pic or height measurement of the HAT figures compared to the de-ag ones?
Thanks
Steve

Hi Stevie-o

The Hat figures are on average 23mm tall (not including the 1mm flat base). Unfortunately there are 1/72 scale figures and other 1/72 scale figures!
My Brandywine diorama is populated with Imex figures which are about 24mm tall. I also bought sets of the Italieri AWI figures which are also 1/72 and they average at 25-26mm! In actual life of course humans are all different sizes but on a model or diorama the different heights just look wrong even though its only a mm or so! It must be something in our brains that expects uniformity in a model I suppose.
At least on a ship model you could put all of one size on one deck and the other size on a different deck and nobody would be any the wiser! BigGrin

thanks Robin,
My WWII Russian soldier is 24.5mm so i guess a 22 or 23mm figure might be ok.
The distance between the upper gun deck and quarter deck on my model is only 21mm though so i doubt they would look very good on the 10 cannons on the upper gun deck. I havent been to the real victory so i dont know if the roofs are very low or not really?

It could be that this set is no longer in production, as they have been out of stock for many months across all sources.
