Thanks for the compliment Dan and nice to know that it is being used - makes it worthwhile!!
If you have any reference material/sites yourself that aren't already in the library then feel free to post them in the thread and I will add them to the library later?

Hi Dan Your build is looking great. I have just received dispatch confirmation for my first issues after winning the competition. I intend to build the same as yourself i.e. half clad and fully painted and was wondering what paint you were using for the blue aotake colour. Any guidance would be much appreciated. I will be starting my own build diary once I receive the parts.

Hello Graeme,
For 'off the shelf' commercial paints Lifecolor produce what many accept to be the most accurate version of 'Aotake' blue. They are only small pots but they come half full with thick paint, the idea being that when you fill the pot to the top by adding thinner, then the paint will be of just the right consistency for airbrushing? Depending on how much of the airframe you intend to paint in Aotake, I would buy more than one pot.
You can find it here, though it may be cheaper elsewhere:
https://airbrushes.com/p...fo.php?products_id=2188
Don't forget to check out the 'Mitsubishi A6M Reference library' where you will find loads of info to help with your build?
Looking forward to your diary.

Thanks Kev I had found that very site but the colour shown on the web site looked nothing like that shown in members build diaries. I sort of assumed it was poor colour reproduction on the site but wanted to double check before spending hard earned cash as, like you say, I will need several pots.
