BigGrin Hi All
The Mongolian sloth finaly arrived at my door with a package from Hong KongLOL , namely the Mortar 'Loki ' kit iv been waiting for. The usual crisp moulding from Dragon is evident and a small amount of etch is also included with an internal barrel rifleing part. I also bought the Big Ed compleat 'Loki' set with 3 sets of etch and the wheel masks. In one of the pics I have placed the Panther tank I built earlier to show a degree of scale as there both 1/35 scale. Updates will follow shortly and all comments/questions are as usual welcome

BigGrin Hi Nem, Jase
there are 2 sets of friul's available a late and early versions I waited until I got the kit before deciding on what set, apparently these monsters would shed tracks very quickly, they were ok traveling on metaled roads [ around 6km an hour ] but there overland performance was poor and had to have the ground ahead pre-prepared [flattened out] to prevent this . After further delving into the parts the gun recoil is spring loaded aswell, looking forward to this build

Hi there Andy, hope you dont mind the hijack but thought you might like a look at this one. I built this straight from the box and it was never finished so it stayed as it was. All that etch has got to make it a lot better than this. I never did like the tracks, felt like there was no life in them. It would be 10 times better if you could get metal tracks. Good luck with the build and I will looking forward to the out comeBigGrin Cool

BigGrin Hi Mo
I don't mind at all M8 I expected at least one to be out there, is that the 'Morser Thor' . As for metal tracks iv found 2 sets available, an early and a late version's and as Loki [ The norse god of mischief if you didn't know]was the 5th built out of 7 I guess it will be the late version, Nem also says the shell's are available in metal, need to check that out. Thanks for looking in
