hello when it come to warped parts do i use hot warm or cold water before clamping i have been lucky so far as only 13 is warped any and all advice welcome

Hi Ronnie ....well i dont soak them ....i use a damp tea-towel and a very hot steam iron....with the bits being ply-wood i find the direct heat softens the glue a little and then hardens a lot faster than the wood being soaked...the damp tea-towel is there just to stop the wood from burning . ...and beggaring up the wifes new steam iron.... ...hope this helps mate...

Hi ronnie .....nope it does not need to be clamped....just check it after half an hour ..(make sure the wood has cooled off)if some warping is still there ....then repeat on the warped area....it may take several passes ....but you will get there ... john...

I have a few warped parts too, I will also try the ironong method and see how it works. Now comes the hard part, does anyone know how to operate an iron

I get my wife to sit on the warped parts, does'nt fix it but we have fun trying. try proping parts up on two books or some thing, puts weight on it so its bends the other way about the same distance leave for a day checking now and again
