This is a kit that I am entering in a competition.
It is a stunning kit with 600 parts! I will be adding loads of upgrades, pe stowage bin, pe fenders and exhaust covers, metal barrel, friul tracks, brass antenna and shackles and a bucket!!!
Tiger 217 was used in the Battle of Malinovka by Otto Carius and had a couple of defining points. It was fitted with early tracks and had a flat mantlet from the Tiger P, only 50 of these mantlets were produced. The kit is very detailed indeed, and should build into a stunning replica of Tiger 217. Its the first time I have built an actual representation of a tank, and I am really quite excited about this build!! Will post some more up when the rest of the goodies arrive!!!!

I have made a start to the lower hull and fitted the fully working torsion bar suspension. 
|

Some of the rear panel done fuel tanks and radiator supports fitted.   
|

Have started the engine deck. Nice pe grills included in this kit.  I have used Aber's barrel kit. It is a direct replacement for the Dragon plastic one so the recoil still works.

That is a pain with etch and other metal work, looks good but you have to paint it!!!

Fan covers are fitted, ready to prime and paint the inside of the lower hull.

Lovely work as always Daran, she's starting to take shape now and will certainly be a stunner when completed with all that detail!!

Very nice build Daran, well done on your progress so far - looking good!!
Love the grey camo as well mate, that Tiger would be hard to see on a foggy day in Russia I bet!!?

Loving the build Daren, all the extra detail from the PE is really paying off and that barrel look amazing. Keep up the good work can't wait to see the end result.  Builds in progress: HMS Victory.HMS Surprise.
