Hi guys, I know this is a subjective question because everyone has different skills but my son he is very interested in taking this on. However he has only up to now ever done plastic airfix type kits before and not sure if this a step too far. I don't wish to put him off from doing it (he is in his early 20's)but at £36 a month I don't want him to get disillusioned neither which does sadly happen. Any thoughts would be most welcome. Gareth hi gaz, let him have go, if he fails of gives up,you can flog the rest on e-bay and may even make a profit, so you only lose the early issues. but because there is a forum, loads of help here, so I recon he will easily get past the finishing post. k. Sounds like it's all glues, screws & rivets, so shouldn't be too bad & as Karl says plenty of help to be found on the forum. He may love the change from plastic kits, which these days in some respect may actually be more difficult.

I agree, so far it looks like a fairly straight forward build. Would be a great thing to learn some basic skills on, the sort of things that will always be useful in everyday life. That is bolting things together, gluing things together etc., it looks like there may be a bit of electrical wiring too.

Other than being a different medium, he should be able to manage it, and like others have already said, there is plenty of help on the forum, also he can PM me any time.

If he has been doing Airfix kits etc from an early age he will have no problem wit this at all... as Tom say's, a different medium but he will have fun and learn a lot from others here... He has everything he needs here with yourself and other members.. Spencer
