This is just a suggestion but I would paint nothing just yet as there is a lot of sanding and filing to go you could end up with paint that is so thick it will cover the fine detail .JJ on his build has all ready found out it is only to essay to mess your paint up. In the build instructions they tell you to but think they this ship will go to with out a hitch well it will not to get the base to fit I have had to do a lot of filling as there was a gap of around 1mill between the main body and the bass. Paint the small things like binos but do not put them on keep them safe till the control tower is built. I have and regretted it. Knocked sum bits off so not infallible photos to cum of the bits I am on about

Looking good.

And I like the way you are pointing out areas where things need extra attention and noting where you have made mistakes and how you are putting them right.

Keep up the good work.

And yes, it should certainly look impressive when you have finished it.

ThumpUp

Edit: I would be inclined to paint the metal parts as I went along and store them out of harms way until you need to add bits (so as not to be faced with a mountain of painstaking work in one lump). This way you can really go to town with shading and highlighting on each part without becoming bored with painting loads of things in several shades of grey). That model (and the work you are putting in to the prepping of the metal parts) really looks as if it deserves a first class paint job and not just a nice, smooth (but flat) grey.

Schnellboots on back burner

Tools.

Hi Jinks

Its coming together really well.

Which instructions do you need?

As an aside, this week we should be launching the new download site where you will be able to log in and retrieve all instructions, past and present. Should resolve some of the problems we have experienced with file sizes to large, treated as Spam/Junk etc.

For now, we'll send resend the instructions (each file individually).
