Hi Everyone
I have just finished issue 60 but before beginning the main mast i want to get the stripes painted.
I have my hull all masked ready but I dont have the issue that explains this in detail as i only have up to issue 67 at the moment. I was wondering if there is any specific info in the hull painting issue.
I know they dont follow wales or gunports exactly and i can see on pics of the real thing where they begin and end at the bow / stern.
It also looks like the 2 black stripes are narrower than the yellows?
If there is no specific info coming up in the future issue then i will go with what looks right but if these have to be measured for example then any info is appreciated.
Cheers
Steve

Hi Steve.
I would hold fire on painting the stripes if I were you. Issue 75 is when you tackle painting the stripes but in issue 74 parts are added like the wiggles, steps, entrance canopy and also fenders to the sides of the hull. Hope this helps.

Hi Stevie-O

Try these four pics below. They are freely downloadable from the Jotika website along with their brilliant pdf's of the construction details (they're what I have been using to rebuild my DelPrado from).
I painted my hull before all the sticky out bits went on, it's far easier than trying to mask it off afterwards!
The stripes basically follow the top of the drip boards above the gun ports but the bottom of the yellow is wider in the middle of the ship and curves upward at the bow and stern, and the yellow stripes are wider than the black dividers. The gun ports themselves are not exactly flat and follow the curve of the decks so that gives the stripes a gentle curve to begin with.
The other thing to remember is that the yellow stripes do not match up with the stern gallery windows!

Hope this helps a bit.
