Just a quick update of this... been doing a bit of work and searching and finally came up with a cheap alternative to the expensive lighting kits out there..The LED kit arrived this morning and this is just a test i've uploaded so you can see the effect. There is still a lot to be done but video below will show the effect....

Looks very good!

Would you mind sharing what lighting kit(s) you went for? I'm in the market for a cheaper way to light the Enterprise. I'll look in to doing my own lighting on other models when I have more time.

Do you have any progress on your kit?

Hi Simon,

Due to other commitments I've not been able to do a great deal to this but over time I have been collecting a multitude of LED's and circuit board kits. Also the orbital drydock masks arrived yesterday and micro motors for the bussards...

I will put a list and take photos soon

Hello Spencer,

How's the model coming along? Have you found any time to do any?

First update of this build as now I have everything I need...

First off is getting a good light block on some of the sections I will be lighting.. I did one coat of grey primer and 2 coats of black, this will then be followed by one coat of white to help reflect the lighting.

Parts of the Naccels have been cut out to allow a small amount of light through on the insides... More updates to follow soon!
