Hi All, BigGrin

As a late starter for the Vic, I have a question.

I got a couple of rib main sections (not the side extensions) that are a bit out of flat. Crying

Tried to flatten them with limited success, so if I install them into the false keel, can I then put blocks between the ribs of the correct size to put things right?

Regards

Any chance you could put up a picture to explain the problem.
I will try to help.

Hi Peter, No pics available at the moment as this is a pre-assembly issue.

Part 18, which is the main centre piece of rib 18, including 18a and 18b is slightly warped (parts supplied in issue 5 and 7). So my possible solution is to put blocks between the ribs either side to hold it straight, but then the first false deck when put in place may cure the issue.

The only solution for that is to let the part soak in hot water for about half an hour then place it on afloat surface and place heavy objects on top of it and leave it to dry overnight, it should take the warp out.

I had this on one frame. Just called De-Ag and they re-sent the issue that had that part in it. Phone them, don't email, they take forever to answer emails!!!
