Each year over 100,000 die-hard F1 fans brave the car park mud baths and the unpredictable weather to enjoy the British Grand Prix.
Anyone going and who do you tip for a podium?

Not me but I'm sure that there are a few on here who go every year and will do so again this year? It would be nice if they could all arrange to meet up with our own 'f1marshal' and have a look round? That would be an added bonus and something to report back on to the rest of us - sort of an inside look at what the rest of the crew do at a Grand Prix weekend and how it is run from a safety aspect instead of just what we normally see on the TV?

Silverstone chiefs have announced fans will be able to just turn up and pay at the gate.
A huge crowd is still anticipated but it will not be a sell-out.
Best prices are up for grabs until noon on Thursday via www.silverstone.co.uk or by calling 0844 3728 300.
From then tickets will be available in person at Gate One, with prices ranging from £75 for general admission on Friday (£37 for children) to £235 for three-day grandstand seats.
Parking will also be available at £20 per car on Friday, £30 on Saturday and £60 on Sunday.

Did you and Paul (f1marshal) meet up at the race at all and did anyone else from MS go? What was the marshalling experience with Paul like?
Really wish I could have been there!!

Sorry Kev, just seen this post! No me and Paul didn't meet up in the end, I didn't leave the paddock at all on Saturday and didn't really hang around much after the race on Sunday Must say the parking situation has hugely improved Only took me 20 minutes to get to the M1 on Sunday, compared to 2 hours getting out of the car park last year!! Was such an amazing weekend, gutted for Hamilton and the other guys who suffered blow outs, good to see the German GP go without a hitch couple of pics below for your viewing pleasure There is a story behind the Rubens pic too, we was on our shuttle bus leaving the paddock and we drove past Rubens on the side of the road, wanting a lift back to the car park So our driver let him on! We was all chatting to him, a pal of mine got him to sign a bottle of beer Then we started singing "the wheels on the bus", we had been on the mumm champagne all day and it seemed like a good idea at the time! Anyway while we were singing he filmed us on his phone and tweeted it! We've been seen singing in a drunken state by his 2m+ followers File Attachment(s): Heinzy attached the following image(s):
