 Unfortunately for Pirelli this season is the nightmare that will see there reputation as a tyre manufacturer go down the drain, I think heads will roll in a rapid fashion as there try to claw back the tatters of there reputation Andy  Current builds:-C57,Zero, Lamborghini Countach, Caldercraft HMS Agamemnon,Robi,R2-D2, MFH Cobra .

Very much a race of what might have been.
FIA race director Charlie Whiting came close to stopping the British Grand Prix as exploding tyres threatened the safety of the drivers.
Whiting delivered his verdict following a chaotic race where the lives of the drivers were on the line.

I was on village corner and the amount of rubber from massa's car to be cleared up was quite a bit but looking on the screen at vergne's rubber he left there was a hell of a lot. new tyre manufacture coming soon maybe if pirelli dont sort it out. Also next sundays race might be boycotted by the teams if the tyres are not sorted so i here. Paul

Pirelli have blamed bungling F1 teams for causing the life-threatening blow-outs that rocked the British GP.
The tyre supplier conducted forensic examinations of the shredded rubber from Sunday’s race and found that teams had put the tyres on the wrong way round.
They also say that the tyres were not inflated to the correct levels, while also blaming kerbs and the camber of the Silverstone circuit.
Pirelli have now agreed to switch to a new safer tyre for this weekend’s German GP that uses bulletproof technology, Kevlar.
A statement said: “Pirelli would like to underline that the 2013 tyre range does not compromise driver safety in any way if used in the correct manner, and meets all the safety standards requested by the FIA.
Rear tyres that were mounted the wrong way round: in other words, the right hand tyre being placed where the left hand one should be and vice versa, on the cars that suffered failures.
In the same way, under-inflation of the tyres and extreme camber settings, over which Pirelli has no control, are choices that can be dangerous under certain situations."

I don't buy that,that the tyres were put on the wrong side,if you look at them in there heat blankets, they are marked rear left etc. I cannot believe that teams would make such a horrendous mistake. The Tyers were deliberatly put on the wrong side, this is what Christian Horner said Mercedes learned at the secret tyre test so we can assume Pirelli must have experimented with swapping the tyres as they were running the test.

Drivers are planning to quit the German GP if there are any further problemms with exploding tyres during qualifying or the race.

Sorry, but part of me is a bit 'old school'.
WHY do teams now have to use the same tyres, same number of changes, pit stops, blah blah blah... and all this cr4p!?
What next?
Every team must have the same engine, same body, SAME CAR!
One day - Same DRIVER!
We might as well watch races on an X-Box or Playstation!
Bring back the 'old days' where teams used whatever tyres they wanted, changed them as little/often as they wanted, used whatever fuel they wanted.....
SO WHAT if one team had more money than another???
That's LIFE!
If one team develops a better car because they have the money, so be it.
At least motor racing was REAL, and INTERESTING, instead of 'You go past - I'm minding my tyres..."
I've been an F1 fan since the mid '70's but I'm losing interest these days, season after season.
If you want to watch some REAL F1, go to Youtube and watch the GP's from the 70's.
Absolutely amazing and genuinely nail-biting!

 Hi Roy I totally agree with your sentiments F1 got taken over by the motorsport politicians and all they have done is to kill all completion, its all about driving the clone car's now too rules that stop the completion of old regards Andy Current builds:-C57,Zero, Lamborghini Countach, Caldercraft HMS Agamemnon,Robi,R2-D2, MFH Cobra .

Totally agree with all of your points Roy and I feel exactly the same way about whether it is worth watching anymore? I've decided to give it at least until the end of next year and then I'll either continue to watch or stop completely as 2014 is the start of the new 1.6 Turbo era, which was exciting in the '80s when it was last around, so I'm willing to wait and see what happens but I suspect this time round it will be no more interesting than the current regulations!
Best thing they could do is to first get rid of that vertically challenged, power crazed, interfering and money obsessed overlord they call Bernie (can you guess whether I like him or not?), then take off ALL of those stupid little winglets/aero devices, stick a proper gear lever in it, which is connected to the gearbox by a steel shaft, not a bundle of wires and remove ALL of the computers - then with different fuels and tyres in each team and the driver actually doing the driving we might just see some proper racing again, with the tail hanging out round the corners and blistered hands at the end of a 1000 gear shifts at Monaco?!
Hang on a minute, that sounds just like it was in the '70s?!!
