Hi all, I have just finished planking the hull and I'm about to mark out the line from bow to stern, however I am not sure I've done everything correctly, when I follow the first strake as instructed I seem to end up in a different position on both sides. Am I correct in thinking that the line should be following the upper of the 2 decks we have in place so far? I have to admit that I haven't followed the instructions to the letter, hence reason for question.
On a different note, any builders from the West Norwood, South London or Croydon areas who would like to meet up to compare builds?

Hi Luigione If you check out the instructions in issue 35, page 7, instruction number 3, which is on the far right of the page, it shows exactly where to mark your starting line. Hope this helps. Hi, thanks for the reply, but the problem I'm having is that if I follow the strakes, I don't end up where I expected to be, but if I'm right, the line should be following the deck level. Can anybody confirm? Regards Luigi

Regards Luigi Hi Luigi Yes the line should follow the top face of the deck.If you cannot use your strakes as a guide, try shining a torch from the inside, you should be able to see the edge on the outside of the hull.Hope this helps. Kind Regards Nigel

Great minds think alike. It was what I had planned, just wanted to make sure I was going to do the right thing.

One more question, the line does have a slight curve?

Cheers mate, been looking on the Italian website, quite a few people seem to have messed it up, but it looks like an easy fix if you do.
