i have found that if you double plank the whole launch ,the scale looks alot better ,mind you i had to reorder a extra mag to insure that i got enough planks ,but think the results are worth it

Double planking i'm having enough trouble doing it once lol
just spent over an hour getting the first two planks and superglue is everywhere, lot of cleaning up to do

But get there i will and it hasn't put me off the rest of the build.

It certainly looks OK to me Steve

Difficult to tell whether the double planking adds a lot judging by the pictures.

However, the important thing is that you are happy with it. I'm going for the painted approach, and at the moment I'm waiting for the white to dry before adding the yellow ochre interior, probably varnishing my thwarts and stern sheets. It will be a contrast to your finish and others like it, pictures will be in the Victory - Leeds build over in the Members Build Diaries

You might want to consider setting up a build diary over in the other part of the forum where you can show your progress with the build as a whole.

Regards

Hi Steve and welcome to the forum mate. Your build looks pretty good Steve, like Mike says, you should open up your own build diary as I intend doing, if I can work out just how to open up my own build diary that is!!Confused, you see, modelling, I understand and can get my head around, but using computers and forums such as this, I have not got the faintest what I'm doing!! LOL
