Hi Guys,

After the McLaren and the rather disappointing (if I'm honest) DB5 I have decided to give this ago.

I only have the first 3 issues so far, but it looks and feels far better quality then the DB5 BigGrin

Cheers

Looking good, and I must concur re: the DB5.
I saw a built one close up and was amazed at how toy-like it looked.
Completely out of scale dashboard, steering wheel, PLASTIC wire wheels, nasty toy seats, etc etc.... And worst of all - every body panel was a different shade of silver!
If I had subscribed to this one, apart from the disappointment, I would have stripped it and resprayed it.
How Aston Martin approved it, knowing how fussy they are, heaven knows!

Good luck with the Nissan.
I'll be watching.

Roy.

Thanks Roy.

Mine has different coloured panels, which only really show under artificial lighting. In natural sunlight it all looks the same, so at the moment it looks amazing!!

I find the whole thing, I had to bodge to get it to fit together and even then the axle isn't strong enough to support the weight, the wheels wobble all over the place (ATM I have to move it now and again as I'm waiting for my display cases to arrive). But it's little things like the rear and small front light not fitting back flush with the body work that really ruin it for me which is a shame as I'm a huge James Bond fan and was really looking forward to 1. building this and 2. displaying and showing it off.

I feel far more satisfaction from completing the McLaren, it looks far more professional, and I built it bit by bit using glue and screws!! I did mess up the decals Blushing but I've fixed them now!

From the bits of the Nissan I have done - it looks and feels a better kit and better and clearer instructions. But I guess that it's had it's teething issues during the Japan run which have been addressed for release here. I noticed a few mods to the instructions already, a bit like the RB7 as I look in to see how that is progressing now and again. I wonder if the same can be said for the DB5 release in the other countries?

Anyway, hopefully I won't have to wait long for the next set of parts!

Cheers

Dave

Good luck with the Nissan GT-R Dave and I hope you'll post a diary for it. It would be nice to see a different car build on here and I'm sure you'll make a good job of it?

Thanks Kev,

Pics will be posted in my Facebook link in OP. I'm looking forward to it and like I say, from what I've done so far it seems well made with clear instructions.

Busy night!

Few small issues, Pins for holding dashboard at bottom were broken, but I fixed with a bit of glue! Also writing on steering wheel for lights and wipers is upside down, although you probably can't see it once it's all put together.

Cheers

Looking good ThumpUp

I signed up for the 12 month option on 3rd of June and had my confirmation email on the 5th. I am just waiting for the first delivery and money to be taken now.

Really itching to get started, so much so that I have downloaded all the instructions from the site to put into a folder BigGrin

Cheers guys.

I think that once I have part 41 the will be the front complete and it might actually have 4 wheels!!!

Payment was taken the other day...so hopefully another batch is on it's way. Was looking the other day and if it wasn't for the issues it would be just about finished now!

Looking good day ThumpUp I am still awaiting my first set of parts.

I did put my card details into the website incorrectly which I only found out ater I rang them after patiently waiting for 21 days to pass. I then got an email the day after I rang them to say my card details were wrong. So after giving the card details again last Thursday the told me I have to wait another week for payment to be taken and anything to be sent Cursing

On a positive note they said that as the series is so far in I will probably end up being charged twice a month and get packages twice a month until I catch up, we will see!

Such a shame this was not being done by DeAgostini as I have had nothing but fantastic service from them, so much so that I think after the Nissan I will be avoiding Eaglemoss like the plague.
