ZM have announced that pre-orders for their 1/32 Raiden will start on 20th July. This has a release date of October 2013.

http://www.zoukeimura.co...ducts/sws05_raiden.html

Price works out at £60 approx (+/- some pence)

Here is a photo of the innards as a taster.

This would also be a nice one to do like out 1/16 Zero.

Having done a couple of test builds of this for them I can say that it is a very well done kit and goes together like a dream. There is only about 250 parts and If anyone wants me to I can post pics of the sprues.

Would be cool if you could post up some images of your test build rather than a glimpse from their web site.

I too would be very interested to see your test builds that you say you have done for ZM James - could we have some photos please Drool Drool ? I only ask as I love Japanese WWII aircraft and the Raiden was a bit special in my view, so I'd like some inside knowledge from you on what it builds up like if you could? With photos to back it up of course!!

Thanks in advance James - I'll look forward to seeing them with bated breath!! CoolThumpUp

I would love to post pics for you all, but ZM have asked me not to release my test build pictures until after the actual release date. I have very few remaining as I wrote them out to a disc along with my reports to them before posting. I didn't think to keep copies of them.

I can, however, say that the initial build of the first test shot that I got were mostly ready for release the fit was so good. ONce again ZM raises the bar on quality.

However, now the UHU is released I can put up photos of my build of this big beast which I will do in a seperate thread.

Fir those interested in the Raiden I would recommend that you should get this one as the detail is superb (especially the engine)and it is a joy to build up. I will later post on Japanese aircraft colours for those interested.

I am very sorry guys, but for those of us who test build for companies like Trumpeter, ZM etc we have to keep our cards close to our chests an our mouths shut. That way we keep getting unmarked boxes through the post and not dumped along the wayside! It is not unusual for companies to use out test builds in their literature.

Keep an eye out for my UHU thresd

James, I think you are living in a dream world mate and telling great big porkies all the time, aren't you, you naughty boy!!! Blink LOL Blink LOL

You say that you can now put up photos of your test build of the UHU since ZM have now released it as a full blown kit and yet, you've also told us in the recent past that you had to purchase it retail from ZM in Japan and then complained that you got stung for import duties from HM Customs and delivery charges from the Royal Mail when it arrived in this country? What I want to know is why on earth would you have to pay for your own kit at great expense if you are 'supposedly' doing test builds for the company and for which ANY company would offer them freely to someone who was actually testing new products for them - it doesn't make sense?

You know it was kind of predictable that you wouldn't be able to show any photos of the Raiden test build and I doubt that you will do anything other than try to swerve the issue of posting photos of a test build for the UHU either?

If I have this wrong, then show me some inescapable evidence that you are indeed doing test builds for such a distinguished company as Zoukei-Mura and I will openly apologise to you James, but until then, I, and a lot of others find it very difficult to believe that you are building stuff for ANY company and that you are just living in your own little dream world, so could you please just cut the constant male bovine faeces act, it isn't very convincing and I for one don't believe a single word of what you say you are doing for these companies and I am getting quite tired of reading such rubbish from you!

Just my opinion of course James, and as I say, show me the evidence and I will gladly apologise to you if I have said anything I shouldn't have, as I don't wish to be unduly derogatory about you or what you say, but could you please either just show us proof to back up your claims or stop telling porkies!!

I got mixed up with my builds. Sorry guys.

I supplied some technical information for the UHU in the form of one of the manuals I have, but I didn't actually work on the kit itself.

You do get stung on Import duties because ZM but a bill of laiding on the box which tells customs just how much you paid Cursing LOL

In fact I do know what ZM have coming next. and it is, I belive their boss' favorite aircraft!

Just to prove that I am on their test/review builders team:

Dear Mr. James

Thank you for the photos of the Swordfish.

We will put your name on the list of the modelers when we call for the SWS kit building review in future.

We will contact you when we decide which kit to build and then please let us know if you are available to help us.

Please note that it will take a little while to contact you on this matter because we have lots of modelers on the list all over the world.

Once again, we appreciate you sending the photos of your building kits.

Regards
