Stage 17 - Contains the cuirass back (left & top) hinge and wooden support bars.

Glue the cuirass back to the back assembly from stage 16, then glue the hinge at the right-hand side of the assembly.

Glue the cuirass back top plate onto the assembly.

Take both shoulder plate assemblies, renove the pin, then thread the cords into the outer holes of the cuirass back and knot so that both cords are 10cm from the cuirass.

Align the hinges and pins of the should plates and secure them in place with a pin.

Thread the hinge pin through the hole in the left cuirass late from stage 7 and tie a knot in the cord 13cm from the edge of the cuirass.

Pin the side plate from stage 9 onto the right side of the cuirass back, then attach the left side plate to the left side of the back plate with the pin from step 6.

Insert the two cross support bars into the stand so they sit approx half way.

Thread one of the toggles on the cuirass through the loop on the back of a shoulder plate, and move the fastenr down to secure the toggles in place.
Hang the armour onto the stand, resting the fastened shoulder plate on the large cross support and then secure the second shoulder plate toggle as before.

Thats it for this stage.

Stage 18 - Contains neck guard plate 4, lace, toggle, fastener, tasset plates and backings.

Fix the backing to all three tasset plates and lace/assemble the tasset section as shown in the instructions, then lace the tasset section to the cuirass as shown in the instructions.

Lace the neck guard plate with yellow and black laces as shown in the insyructions, Thenn lace the plate to the neck guard asembly as shown in the instructions.

Stage 19 - Contains tasset plates, backings, pole support plate, pad, lace and strips.

Fix the backing pads to the tasset plates, then prepare the lace and lace all three tasset plates together as before.
Set the tasset section aside until the next stage.

Take the pole suport stips, shape pne end of both as shown, then thread one onto each end of the pole support.

Secure the pole support to the back of the cuirass by threading the strips through the indicated holes and knot on the inside so that the pole suport sits at 90 degrees to the cuirass.

Take the pad, apply some glue into the open end then nip the hole closed.

Mark two points centrally on the pad, 1cm apart, then pierce the pad at both points through to the opposite side.

Prepare a 45cm length of lace, thread ith through the pad and secure it via the indicated holes at the bottom of the rear panel of the cuirass, then thread the lace back through the rear of the pad, pull the pad close up to the cuirass and leave the lace ends loose.
