For those of us here who do large scale models (1/32 and up) we all love to see plenty of detail in there and spend large amounts of dosh on extra detailing parts/replacement parts etc.
Now then, with the detail that goes just into the kit itself, quite often between 200-400 pieces here is something that I just can't quite get my head around..
Why do model manufacturers put out these super detailed 1/32 kits and then produce a 1/24 kit with half the detail (and parts). Surely 1/24 scale is the opportunity for a maufacturer to show of just what can be done with up to date CAD and molding systems!
I suppose that it is a pricing point. Never the less, I just wonder how many modelers would by a 1/24 spitfire if it had the detailing and part number of the Tamiya 1/32 kits in it?
