Hi All!
Finally managed to gain access to my old modelling workroom in the rear of the family garage (via a window!)
You wouldn't believe the number of unbuilt kits I found in there but more of them later. What I especially wanted to retrieve was a diorama I began over twenty years ago and which got left behind when the workroom began to fill up with junk and the roof began to leak!
Fortunately for this model, I'd already built a perspex cover for it and unbelievably, after twenty years of heatwaves and sub zero winters, not to mention the rain drops (until the roof was replaced about ten years ago), the model is in perfect condition!
I will be carrying on with this one at some time as there are a great many landscaping materials around now which will improve it drastically and I'll post a full set of photos of the state it's in now and what I intend for the future but just for now, here's a sneak preview photo I took through the still dirty cover just after I manhandled it back out the window (my legs and thighs are still aching!)
Happy diorama-ing and see you soon!
Robin
