Hi All,BigGrin

Well, the kit arrived today and here is a quick pictorial view of what the kit contains.

Now this kit (scale unknown) comes up at 16.25" in length.
One piece hull.(Not two pieces already stuck together -as per ebay ad)
One piece masts.
One piece yards.

All parts seem good and look like they need very little cleaning up.

So here`s the evidence Cool

1:The box Pic 1

2:The one piece hull Pic 2
Looks very detailed on the outer surface(Planks,Tiles etc)

3:The sails, these are plastic, (may have a go at making some cloth ones)
we`ll see about that in due course Confused .Pic 3

4:Rat lines, stand and some very small bits(don`t ask not sure at the mo)Pic 4

5:One piece masts, stern plate and gun decks complete with guns in situ(some delicate painting gonna be required at this point)Pic 5

6:Close up of the molded(one piece) gun decks.Pic 6

7:Decks and ships boats (ie wooden bits)Pic 7

8:One piece mast,anchors,flags and a few odd cannon that are loose.Pic 8

Now have to source the paints, glue and maybe some sail cloth, we`ll see about the latter item
later.

Well that`s it for now.

Will update later.

Thanks Mr T,BigGrin

It`s an Ebay thing, but am looking to use as a skill builder.

Plastic - very new to me

Spray painting - very very new to me.

Chance to use sail making skills - well there you go, never done before.

We`ll see where this one goes, but I`m gonna get some serious skill boost from this build.

Many Thanks,Cool

I'll look forward to this one Derek. It's 1/96 by the way.

Plus, they've just released a wooden deck for it, only $99, seeing as you got the kit so cheaplyLOL LOL

Hi Court,BigGrin

Now, we have a bit of confusion here Blink

The kit I have purchased does not have any scale on it.

So, I have had a look at the link you very kindly passed on, but that deck would need cutting into four bits so that one piece would fit.

Looking further into their products they do a 1/196 version which is approx 11 inches long and I think that is the kit I have.

Appears that Revell made two sizes of the same kit.

The good news from this is that the smaller deck only costs $24Love

The bad news is my eye sight is going to sufferLOL

Thanks again for the link.Cool
