hello all, i have already posted on the forums but may as well introduce myself here. i am winker and i have been model making for thirty five years. i couldn't begin to list the many thousands of plastic kits that i made but in the last few years i have turned to other types. i attempted the titanic but it got broken badly when i moved house. i started the bismarck partwork but they messed up the subscription and i am still missing many parts. i am giving the spitfire a try now and so far all has gone well....well enough to sign up for the yamato too but part one hasn't fell through the letterbox yet. i have a keen military history interest and especially love the German war machine and the yamato. any advice is listened to. anyone wanting to chat gets replied to no matter what subject. i hope to get to know some of you better as i build, boast and beg ;-)

BigGrin Hi Neil
Welcome to the forum, i see you are building the Yamato just be carefull with the 1st 4 issues pack one as there are two hull formers part 7 with luggs that are the same former instaed of 7 and 8 as should be supplied but dont worry the correct former 8 arives with pack 2.
Some people just chopped off the luggs and used it but it will affect the hull shape when the planking starts also get some good files the metal castings are a hard form of titaniumBlink well pehaps not that hard but a fair amount of fettling is required and any problems just get in touch
regards
Andy Cool
