An important ship at Trafalgar, she was going to be first to break the enemy line but Nelson was set on Victory having that honour. She was however 2nd in line & saved Victory by coming alongside Redoubtable on the opposite side to Victory. Eventually she forced Redoubtable to surrender & fought a 2nd ship,Fougueux,at the same time, this earned her the nickname of "The Fighting Temeraire".She was later immortalised by the famous Turner painting of her last trip, sadly to the breakers yard. She would make an excellent companion to the Victory, not only because they fought side by side, but because in her own right she is just as famous.
