BigGrin Hi All
As part of the on going build of the Santisima Trinidad the X-Section is sent as part of the build instead of like the Victory where it was supplied at the end.
Pack 4 contains the 1st five parts of the cross-section, one thing I will say is be very carefull that everything is square and lined up at the start of construction as everything is very flimsy until the cross beams are added. The ribs and false keel are made from light ply and need to be stained before assembly start's, I used Rustins Dark Teak but any stain you like will do fine.
What I did after making up the ribs using the template was to make sure each rib is square to the false keel using set squares and clamps till dry then add the other rib.
The instructions recommend using the top deck and elastic bands to keep everything square but double check all the time as the centre can still be out until the cross beams are glued in place. One way to ensure things are kept square here is to mark 1cm at each end of the cross beams and use these marks to line up with the outside edge of the rib.

BigGrin Hi Jase
I must say the quality is excellent its all hardwood strip, decks are hardwood ply the ribs, false keel and mast foot are light ply but I dyed those with Rustins Dark Teak and they look good now and it is quite easy to construct. Thanks for looking in and your comments

BigGrin Hi All
Pack 11 arrived with more bits and the lower mast in hardwood yummy.
I started off by adding the inner planking to the lower deck after this the central beam was added as was the deck rails.
The next job was to carve the deck support pillars, the picture will explain all then they were stained with dark teak as were the knees and mast support square. The pillars and deck sides on deck 1 were coated with gloss varnish every where else has had a coat of matt varnish.
After fitting the pillars the two deck halves were planked sanded back and stained before fitting using the mast as a template to make sure the holes lined up.
The stand arrived this month so this was stained and made up as was the grating and 3 parts cut out for the build. The central rails ,mast support and grating were then added to the deck.
I then made up a ladder and fitted it in its hatchway as was the hanging mast support in the bilge.
Finally the outer planking was added up to the second deck/gun deck, one thing I noticed here was that if you follow the instructions you will be a plank short on either side so I just added the extra plank so it matches the pics and the next set of planks fit correctly.
regards
AndyCool
