Hi All, Could someone tell me if there is a means/site that helps identify a type of wood by colour? Reason I ask, is because I need to purchase some wood to make two parts for a dio. I need something as close as possible to the surround of the base shown in the picture below. This picture shows the wood in it`s best colour in a photo that I have. So, any advise available would be very nice. Regards delboy271155 (Derek) COME BACK GUY FAWKES "YOUR COUNTRY NEEDS YOU"

Hi Derek There is the wood database, lots of info on here - http://www.wood-database.com/wood-identification/
other than that I guess you could always try to match it with a stain instead? Steve

Hi Steve, Thanks for that info. For the small amount of wood I need the stain idea will be best, but the wood guide has pointed me in the right direction for the colour. Regards delboy271155 (Derek) COME BACK GUY FAWKES "YOUR COUNTRY NEEDS YOU"
