Hi All,BigGrin

I have been to the model boat show in Leamington Spa today and purchased a set of plans for the HMS Royal Oak(1937) and I`m up for a long term project of a scratch build of this vessel.

The scale of the plans are 1/16" to 1 foot.

From reference of the vessel it matches the plans,so you would end up with a model with:

Length: 38.75 inches
Beam: 6.4 inches

At this point all seemed ok.

Side and top elevation drawings are fine.

The problem I have is with the hull shaping.

There are only 3 section drawings across the hull and they are all around the bridge area.

So to get around this issue, I`ve been looking for a small plastic model that I can scale up to get the shape and dimensions I need.

CANNOT find one anywhere Crying

I can find nearly every other significant vessel of the era but not the "Royal Oak"

Can anyone assist please.

Regards
