Felipe Massa will become the latest boy from Brazil to race for Williams after it was announced he would replace Pastor Maldonado from the 2014 season onwards.
Williams have been uncompetitive so far this season with Maldonado's 10th-place finish in Hungary their only championship point to date, but Massa believes he is joining a strong outfit. "I am lucky, I raced for Ferrari for a long time and now I am moving to Williams which is a very famous team in Formula One. I used to enjoy watching Nelson Piquet and all the many other Brazilian drivers who raced for Williams in the past."
Massa came close to securing the 2008 drivers' title during his time with Ferrari but lost out by a single point to Lewis Hamilton, who overtook Timo Glock in to the final corner on the last lap in Brazil to rob the home crowd of a crowing a local champion.

Let's hope Williams can find their old form,if anyone deserves a shot at the title it's Massa....I still think Hamiltons 2008 title was more than just good luck ,it should have been Massa's Rob Nolli Illigitimi Carborundum!!!Current Builds: HMS Victory, SV Thermopylae

Unless Williams can find a designer the ilk of Adrian Newey, I think another constructors championship let alone a championship is beyond their reach any time soon. His remarkable career at Williams ended with his cars winning 59 race victories, 78 pole positions and 60 fastest laps all from 114 races from 1991 till 1997. These seven years saw 4 drivers clinch world championship titles.

Martin Whitmarsh claims that a rival team which had agreed to run Kevin Magnussen in 2014 reneged on the deal, thus ‘forcing’ McLaren to drop Sergio Perez.
He claims that his aim was to keep Sergio Perez alongside Jenson Button in 2014 and farm out Magnussen to another team in order that he could gain experience before moving to the Woking.
He refused to identify the team, but Whitmarsh admits he is sorely tempted.
